This page explains what Sac Auto List collects and how it is used. It is a plain-language summary, not a contract, and it applies to sacautolist.com.

Information you give us

• Listings. If you list a car, we store the vehicle details, description and photos you submit, plus your name, email address and optional phone number. Listing details and photos are shown publicly once approved. Your email address is not shown. Your phone number is shown only if you choose.
• Messages to sellers. When you use a listing's message form, we store your name, email, optional phone and message, and pass them to the seller by email.
• Forms. If you use the contact or dealer forms, we store what you send so we can reply.
• Photos. Photos are re-saved when uploaded, which removes embedded location data. Anything visible in the photo itself, like a license plate, is shown if you upload it.

Information collected automatically

Like most sites, our server receives your IP address and browser details when you load a page. We use a hashed form of your IP address to limit spam and abuse. Logs may be kept for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies

• Essential. We set a session cookie when you use a form, to protect it against forgery. It is removed when you close your browser.
• Analytics and advertising. See below. These cookies are only set if those services are turned on.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are viewed and which searches are run. Google may set cookies and receives usage data from your browser. You can choose "No thanks" on our cookie notice to stop this, and you can use Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising

We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads and measure them, including ads based on your visits to this and other sites. If you choose "No thanks" on our cookie notice, we ask Google to show non-personalized ads. Who we share information with

• Sellers receive messages sent through their listings.
• Our hosting provider (DreamHost) and network provider (Cloudflare) process site traffic on our behalf.
• Google (analytics) and Google AdSense (ads).
• We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the site and its users.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

Keeping and deleting data

Listings stay in our records after they expire or sell. To ask us to correct or delete your information, contact us or email [email protected]. California residents may have additional rights over their personal information, and we will respond to valid requests as the law requires.

Children

Sac Auto List is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We will update this page and its date when something changes.
