How Sac Auto List works

Sac Auto List is a place to advertise used cars around Sacramento. Sellers post, buyers browse, and the two of them take it from there.

If you are buying

1. Browse. Use the car search to filter by price, make, mileage, body style and seller type.
2. Message the seller. Every listing has a message form. The seller replies to you directly.
3. See it in person. Meet somewhere public, drive it, and ask to see the title, smog certificate and service records. Our safety tips and pre-purchase checklist help.
4. Handle the deal yourselves. Price, payment and paperwork are between you and the seller.

If you are selling

1. Post your car. The listing form asks for the basics, an honest description and photos.
2. We review it. A person looks over each new listing before it appears on the site.
3. Buyers contact you. Messages go to your email. Your address stays private.
4. Mark it sold. A private link in your confirmation email lets you mark it sold, renew it or remove it. Listings run for 30 days unless you renew.

What we do and do not do

We advertise cars. We are not the seller, we do not negotiate or broker deals, we do not handle money, and we do not inspect, certify or guarantee any vehicle. Listing details are written by sellers and are not verified by us. A buyer is responsible for checking the car and the paperwork.
