What is Sac Auto List?

A local marketplace where Sacramento-area private sellers and dealers advertise used cars. Buyers contact sellers directly. We do not sell the cars.

Does it cost anything to list a car?

Listing is free right now. We may add optional paid upgrades later, such as featured placement. Anything paid will be clearly labeled before you pay.

How long does a listing run?

Listings run for 30 days. You can renew, mark the car sold, or remove it any time from the private link in your confirmation email.

Why was my listing not approved?

We review new listings to keep out spam, scams and unsafe content. Common reasons are missing or unusable photos, an unrealistic price, or a description that does not match the car. You are welcome to fix it and submit again.

Do you inspect or verify the cars?

No. Details are supplied by sellers and we do not verify them. Get a pre-purchase inspection and ask to see the title, smog certificate and service records.

Who handles the paperwork and payment?

The buyer and seller, directly. Sac Auto List does not handle money or documents. For California transfer steps, check the California DMV, and see our private-party buying guide.

Is my email address shown on my listing?

No. Buyers use a message form and we forward the message to you. Your phone number is shown only if you choose to show it.

How do I report a scam or a bad listing?

Use the "Report this listing" link on the listing, or contact us. Read our safety tips too.

I am a dealer. Can I list?

Dealer listings are not open yet. Tell us about your lot and we will contact you when they are.
